Psychiatrist for Birmingham CAMHS Learning Disabilities service
Ashley is a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in the Learning Disabilities Team at Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB), as well as Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychiatrist in the Children’s Epilepsy Surgery Team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He trained in Paediatrics and has an MSc in Clinical Neuropsychiatry. He specialises clinically in treating children with intellectual disabilities, neurogenetic syndromes, Autism, ADHD, Tics, Epilepsy and other neurological conditions. Ashley is the FTB Clinical Lead for Research as well as Digital Technology. He holds honorary academic positions at the Universities of Birmingham and Warwick, and is the Lead for Young Persons Mental Health Research in the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) West Midlands Clinical Research Network.
