Deputy Head teacher St Anthony’s. The school is an outstanding Special School based in Chichester maintained by West Sussex County Council. The school caters for pupils aged 4-16. There are 214 on roll all with EHCP. Pupils have a range of learning, medical and language difficulties. A high percentage of the pupils have S&L difficulties and a significant number have autism. The school caters for a wide range of other SEND and has one pupil with SMS.
Dedicated to the individual pupil and making sure their needs are met in a holistic way. Set up the specialised infant autism department and continued to develop and grow to departments through the school and a base at the local College. Policy and practice is now embedded across the school.
Loves dogs – just rescued two from a local RSPCA. Loves the outdoors, nature and a passion for Art Nouveau and The Arts & Crafts Movement. Collect antiques and books from both periods. Values home and time with relaxing with friends.
Attended her first SMS conference 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed meeting and learning from the community.
